Episode 45 - Shadow People (ft. The Neatcast)

We have a very very special end-of-summer episode for you because not only are we talking about Shadow People but Jeremy and Zack from The Neatcast join us to discuss this super interesting topic. We obviously talk in length about shadow people, Sleep Paralysis, and trans-dimensional beings but we also dip our toes in the cool waters of  ancient aliens, Göbekli Tepe, Joro spiders, Running the puppy, the Dog-man and Domentor sniffing to name a few. Episode 44 - The Monroe Institute

On this episode of Against All Oddities we are talking about the Monroe institute. What is the Monroe institute you ask, Why, it’s just the world leader in human consciousness exploration. Founded in the early 1970s as an educational and research organization by Robert A. Monroe and has a large campus based in Faber Virginia. To spice this episode up even further, Nate enrolled in their program and just got back after spending the last week hooked up to their machines and methodologies. We have a ton of questions for him and he gave us a ton of answers and then some. We talk about the Monroe institute, consciousness, remote viewing, Joseph McMoneagle, Project Stargate, brain waves, the hive mind, the Vietnam War, shamans, and the magical war of England. In case you didn’t read our show’s meta-data we are a philosophy and comedy talk podcast, and although it is impossible to forget that we are hilarious it does occasionally get missed that we are also interested in the many weird, wonderful, and odd modes of thought out there. Episode 41 - Backrooms

You must have turned on “no clipping” because you found it, the AAO episode on backrooms. Of course when we say backrooms we’re mainly just talking about secret rooms as we have experienced them in our complicated and mystical lives. In true Against All Oddities fashion we cover a lot of ground here, from George Washington’s toenail clippings, to cave systems, OTO temples, Freemasonry, decapitated hands, hidden grave yards, and nihilism. Episode 40 - Consciousness

Today we will be talking about the many nodes of human consciousness within the great simulation. Yes, this is a big one so join us as we dive as deep as meager monkey perception will allow us to go. We cover a lot of topics in a short amount of time including binaural frequencies, astral projection, hypnotism, out of body experience, the matrix, lucid dreaming and 3rd grade plays. Episode 37 - Curse-Mas Special 2021

This episode is the official Against All Oddities Curse-Mas special.

So what’s a Curse-Mas special you ask? Why, its an episode entirely dedicated to the art of hexing and cursing and just so happens to also be the winter holiday season of course! So Stick around and listen to the brothers discuss all things Curse-as. As usually we get into a little bit of everything from the rule of three, Wicca vs traditional witchcraft, movies about curses and cursed movies, topped off with a couple of personal anecdotes about curses that started it all. So join us  as we get into the spirit of giving, curses that is, this is against all oddities.

Your eyes did not deceive you this episode of against all oddities really is all about failure. Is the subject of failing really an oddity? Well when you're as successful as we are, failure sure can feel like an oddity.

This extremely humbling episode features hilarious stories of personal failure including tales of electrocution, fire work disasters, British engineering, and the lost art of self body-piercing amongst many others. Between the three of us, we've messed up just about everything, so stick around and hear the juicy details.

Episode 35 - Halloween 2021

Well, It’s that spooky time of year again and although we here at Against All Oddities celebrate halloween all year long, we appreciate the importance this season may have for all of you muggles out there who only dress up as wizards and ghouls once a year.

This year we aim to honor and celebrate Samhain by telling some spooky stories and by dropping some death bombs (more on that later). So stick around while we talk about black eyed children, haunted Richmond, death by turnips, and so much more. When you are ready simply lift the veil, pass the guardian at the threshold, and follow us a little further down the rabbit hole.

Episode 34: Stargate (1978-1995)

On this episode we talk about project Stargate [no not the 1994 classic sci-fi adventure starring Kurt Russell and James spader...tho we do recommend you watch that….] the secret, now defunct, CIA program. This program was de-classified in 1995 after 17 years of doing some really interesting experiments with remote viewing and physic espionage. We talk about all sorts of things related to these topics, Tim reads our favorite remote viewing account from the Stargate project and Chris shows off his astral projection abilities in real time. So please; swallow the rest of your entheogen, climb into your sensory deprivation tank, and crank up the volume because this is against all oddities.

Episode 33: Time

Welcome to against all oddities. The podcast about three brothers coming to terms with the oddly true and the truthfully odd. 

Today’s episode focuses on the oddity that is the experience and perception of time.  Be warned that this episode of against all oddities is a little bit different than normal and may very well blow your mind. As a way to illustrate the enigmatic nature of time we decided to break the fourth wall of podcasting by recording our conversation in the past, present and future. So the first part of the episode Tim and Nate converse about the nature of time along with a future version of Chris who inserted himself back in time with Nate and Tim. The second half of the podcast all three brothers engage in conversation about time simultaneously. Episode 31: Teeth

Today we’ll be talking about teeth, those odd little pointing things that we store in our mouths…well most of us anyways. We also tell a sad cat story and discuss the benefits of punching one’s younger brother in the face during childhood. This episode is our 31 episode and is episode 1 of season 4. The subject of today’s episode is Bad Samaritan and we’ll be talking with chef, author, former Richmond native, and current New Orleans based samaritan, Dan Mills.  And for all you squares and bean counters out there who don’t think today’s subject is an actual oddity, well then I have news for you, everything is an oddity, there are only shades of grey, the rivers are dark, the ocean is deep, and the cosmos infinite.
